In Loving Memory of Arisha Lucas

Donation protected
Without warning and extremely prematurely, Thursday, April 13th, Arisha joined her Mom & Dad, Jan & Roy Lucas, in Heaven. Arisha was only 48 years old.

She is survived by her beloved son, Jaxson Roe, who is 16.

He was the light of her life her North Star, always guiding her back to the light even in the darkest of times. She loved him with the type of love that you could just feel when she was with him or as she literally beamed when talking about him to anyone.

Arisha also said her earthly goodbye to her twin sisters Kiesha & Tasha, their husbands, Tony Stefancik & Tom McGrane, and their children, her nieces & nephews; Kayden, Taylor, Peyton, Cole, Baylee, Erin Telfer, and almost brand-new great nephew, Grayson.

In addition, she leaves behind her Aunt Jil Minikus, Uncle Jon Towley & Aunt Lin, and Uncle Jay Towley, as well as her cousins and their wives; Jed & Renae Minikus, Jacob & Jackie Towley, Seth Minikus, and Sean & Tracy Towley. Lastly, a special addition sister, Christy (me!), bonus brother-in-law, my husband James Justice and our gaggle of six kids.

Tragically, by the time we were old enough to know just how critical life insurance was, due to various health conditions, Arisha was uninsurable. Most recently Arisha's life financially was in dire straights. After years of struggling she was unable to work due to her debilitating health, and she was in the outrageous process of filing for disability.

Her untimely death and the final expenses to provide a memorial and celebration of life for her will fall on the shoulders of her family.

At this time, I would like to ask all of you to please consider donating to this GoFundMe to help offset the expenses that will ultimately be incurred by Arisha’s family. As you can imagine Arisha’s family is reeling and heartbroken by her untimely death. Helping ease this financial burden will be a tremendous relief. All donations will be greatly appreciated and cherished as a memorial to Arisha.

Rish would always ask me about my latest favorite songs or what I was listening to and we would jam out to it in the Jeep or her truck so Friday afternoon, when the song “Know You Will” by Hillsong United https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cOpdRYEs6zg came on the lyrics hit a little differently. While the song has always reminded me of Ma Lucas because she always told me “I don’t know how you do it, but you always figure it out”, Friday it eased my mind and settled me, giving me the much-needed reassurance, I would find a way to help my bestie’s out. That scarred and currently nursing big ugly bruises, together we could do this. Jan passed away in 2002 and as I grew up, I always carried her advice and encouragement with me. It has evolved over the years as we faced the unrelenting onslaught of challenges and learned to place problems in God’s hands.

These days my motto is “I Did My Best and God Did the Rest” -Hattie McDaniel. Man does HE absolutely make a way, doing the rest, if I do my absolute best. Every. Single. Time.

The link to the song can be clicked on above so you can listen, but the chorus to “Know You Will” is;

I don’t know how You make a way
But I know You will
I don’t know how You make a way
But I know You will

I just know He will make a way this time too, through all of you.
