In Loving Memory of Baby Layla

Hi, my name is Jaky, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart on behalf of my family. We are grieving the heartbreaking loss of my precious niece, Layla, who was taken from us far too soon. Layla would have celebrated her very first birthday on May 10th — a milestone we were so looking forward to.

What started as a simple cough quickly turned into something unimaginable. She was diagnosed with a heart murmur, and soon after, she began experiencing seizures. Things escalated rapidly, and despite the strength of her little body, Layla suffered severe brain damage. She could no longer breathe on her own or respond to the world around her.

Watching her struggle and ultimately lose her fight has been devastating for our family. Layla brought so much love and light into our lives, even in her short time with us. We are deeply heartbroken and still trying to process this loss.

We are setting up this GoFundMe to help with funeral expenses and to give our sweet girl the goodbye she deserves. Any support, no matter how small, means the world to us. We’re incredibly grateful for the love, prayers, and kindness from those around us during this time.

Estamos de luto por la dolorosa pérdida de mi querida sobrina, Layla, quien nos fue arrebatada demasiado pronto. Layla habría celebrado su primer cumpleaños el 10 de mayo, un acontecimiento que esperábamos con tanta ilusión. Lo que empezó como una simple tos se convirtió rápidamente en algo inimaginable. Verla luchar y finalmente perder su batalla ha sido devastador para nuestra familia. Layla trajo tanto amor y luz a nuestras vidas, incluso en el poco tiempo que estuvo con nosotros. Estamos profundamente desconsolados y aún intentamos procesar esta pérdida. Estamos creando esta cuenta de GoFundMe para ayudar con los gastos funerarios y darle a nuestra querida niña la despedida que se merece.
