Madison Dougherty, in memory of Barry Dougherty
Donation protected
It is with deep heartache that I write that my brother, Barry Dougherty, has passed away, too soon, at 36 years old. He was a son, a brother, an uncle, a nephew, and most of all, a father. He has left behind, his incredibly special daughter, Madison. Madison, at ten years old, is so full of life, and love, and has demonstrated over and over how special her and her dad's bond was. Barry has always talked of Madison with nothing but love, and pure happiness. As he would always say, she was the light of his life.
Barry was always ready for an adventure, and instilled that in his daughter. The places they would go together, exploring, trying new foods, new activities, things many people wouldn't think to do. Every time I spoke to Barry, he was telling me of a new language he and Madison were learning. They were always goofing around together, and at night they would read long books together before bed. Barry has always loved to read, and was constantly learning about anything that he could. That love for books, and learning, has clearly been passed on to his daughter.
I have put together this gofundme for Madison's future. We want to make sure that Madison has an opportunity for the best life possible, despite how hard the road ahead will be for her. We hope that her love of learning will continue with her, along with all of the wonderful memories she has of her dad, and take her wherever her dreams may be.
I will update everyone, once funeral arrangements have been made.
We kindly ask, in lieu of flowers, to please make a donation to Madison Dougherty, in honor of her father, Barry Dougherty
