In memory of Becky Featherstone

Donation protected
Alex shared the sad news that Becky died on Thursday the 19th October.

Becky had been diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer earlier in the year and had been undergoing immunotherapy and chemotherapy. In September Becky became more symptomatic and scans showed the cancer had spread to a point where further treatment was no longer in her best interests.

Alex writes "the care she received in the hospice was outstanding and the care and compassion shown to myself, our children and the wider family and friends, was exceptional! The staff made an awful situation bearable and at times enjoyable for the children.

Becky was able to say goodbye to our children on Wednesday evening and was completely comfortable and at peace.
I was privileged enough to be at her side holding her hand when she passed pain free and at rest Thursday night".

Alex has the challenge of dealing with his loss whilst supporting Olivia (8), Max (6) and Phoebe (4) to remember their beautiful mummy and move forward with their lives. He will also be juggling working in ED and juggling childcare. The purpose of the fundraiser is so that he can use it to create memories with his children to try and make this awfully sad time easier, or donate to worthy causes such as the hospice or cancer research.
