In Memory of Befeker Assefa

Dear Friends and Community,

As a close friend of the Befeker Assefa (Tseday) family,

I share with great sadness the news of the passing of Befeker Assefa, who lost his battle with recurring Ewing Sarcoma on August 18th at the age of 21. Befeker was a beloved son, brother, and friend. He was a third-year Statistics and Machine Learning student as well as a member of the Tartans scholars honors society at Carnegie Mellon University.

His name, meaning " By Love," truly reflected his kind and spirited nature.

As his family mourns, we are asking for contributions to help ease the financial burden they are facing due to his illness. All support to cover the expenses would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your kindness and for keeping Befeker and his family in your thoughts and prayers as we celebrate and remember his life. His spirit will live on in our hearts and continue to inspire all who knew him.
