In Memory of Beki Myers

Her journey began on December 5, 1982 in St Louis, Missouri. Beki graduated from Douglas County High School and earned her degree in zoology from Colorado State University. While there, she also met Derrick, who became the love of her life. After receiving a proposal with the help of a kitten, she married Derrick on July 13, 2006. Beki and Derrick were blessed with three daughters- Kailynn, age 8; Ashtyn, age 4; and Emberly, age 3, and she loved them dearly. Her passion was focused as a dog trainer at PetSmart and Petco, as well as running animal rescues for ten years. She will always be remembered for her dedication and efforts in both training and rescue by the many people and animals her actions touched. She passed from this life on January 12, 2018, and is survived by her parents, Steven Shaw and Kathleen Zarbock; her husband, Derrick Myers; and their three daughters.
