HELP LAY BEN TO REST: Support his final journey home
Donation protected
With profound sadness yet hope in the resurrection, we announce the passing of Benjamin Rugaba Nwanodi, beloved son of Collins (Jreffrey) Nwanodi and Kwesiima (Florence) Ruranga, who was called home to the Father’s House on September 29, 2024, at just 11 years old. Ben’s joyful spirit, kindness, and infectious smile inspired everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
In May 2023, Ben was diagnosed with brain stem glioma. Despite his courageous fight, his battle has come to an end, and now his family faces the heavy task of bringing him back to Uganda, where he will be laid to rest in his family’s homeland.
The cost of this journey is significant, and we need your support. As his spiritual family, we stood by Ben throughout his fight—now let us come together to help his parents lay their only child to rest.
Our goal is to raise $33,000.00 for the following expenses:
• $13,000.00 - Coffin and preparation expenses
• $13,000.00 - Transporting Ben's body to Uganda
• $7,000.00 - Funeral and Burial expenses in Uganda
Please note: Sts. Peter and Paul Church, the family’s home parish, is waiving all standard fees and is helping to cover extra costs by holding the visitation at the church.
Your generosity, whether large or small, will help ease the financial burden on Ben’s grieving family and ensure he is honoured with the dignity he deserves. As his spiritual family, we are called to carry one another’s burdens and share in each other’s sorrows. Scripture reminds us, "If one member suffers, every part suffers with it" (1 Corinthians 12:26). By coming together, we can offer comfort and support to Collins (Jeffrey) and Kwesiima (Florence) as they endure the unimaginable pain of losing their only child.
Please consider contributing today—let us stand united in love and compassion, helping Ben’s family find peace during this heartbreaking time.
