In memory of Beth and Support of the Petross Family

Hello my name is Sage Petross and I am running a gofundme on behalf of my family as we process the journey of letting my mother pass.

On Wednesday January 14, 2025 my older brother, Jayde Petross, discovered our mother, Beth Petross, unresponsive. Paramedics were called and transported her to Kadlec hospital in Richland where my brother and father, Shaun Petross, soon met her. It was diagnosed that my mother suffered from advanced pneumonia in her right lung and a severe brain aneurysm. From here she was life flighted to Haborview Medical in Seattle where they would perform a CT scan and brain surgery. After her surgery it was determined that she had a giant brain aneurysm and massive bleeding and swelling on the right side of her brain. After this they performed another surgery and that was unfortunately unsuccessful. On early Thursday morning 1/15 I received a call from the hospital telling me the CT scans determined that my mom had no activity in the right side of her brain and she would no longer be able to breathe or eat on her own for the rest of her life and from here it became a question of the quality of life my mother would have wanted.

As a family we have made the decision this is not what she would want and have allowed the process of taking her off of life support. My mother was a free soul and many of you knew and loved her so much. At this time they are processing and testing my mom as an organ donor and preparing to take her off of ventilation in the next few days. We ask for help during these difficult times as we process the passing of our beautiful mother. She was such a kind soul and this is a shock to us all and has been an extremely emotional past few days on our family.
