In memory of Big Bad Bert
Donation protected
I lost my gorgeous Bertie, well known to most as BigBadBert, at the amazing age of 18 years old earlier this month. He's been my little sidekick since I was 8 years old and I'm beyond devastated that he's not with us anymore. He lived an amazing life for his 18 years, a proper character and everyone seemed to remember him for his one ear up, one ear down!
I've been overwhelmed with the number of messages and comments from everyone, some people I haven't seen in years, each having their own memories of Bertie and even back to when we were kids.
With Bertie being involved in such a large part of my life, I would like to get his ashes turned into some jewellery that I can continue having with me forever. Ashes Into Glass is the company the veterinary practice has recommended however their process and pieces of jewellery range anywhere from £400 to £700.
Whilst this is far too much to ask of friends and family to contribute, I have started this GoFundMe in hope the people that loved and remembered BigBadBert for all his silly ways might be able to make a small contribution to lessen the gap for me to afford a piece of Bertie to stay with me forever.
All donations, whether pennies or pounds will be so appreciated xxx
NB: Please leave your name or let me know if you have donated so that I can thank you personally x
- *UPDATE: I'm looking into dog charities to donate any additional funds raised i.e. Dogs Trust, Oldies Club (specialises in rehoming senior dogs). Happy to hear any suggestions if you know of worthwhile charities that would appreciate a donation.*
