In Memory of Bill Potokar

I'm writing to inform everyone that My Dad (Bill Potokar) passed away on November 9, 2024. This has hit us all very hard and unexpectedly. As everyone knows, My Dad was a magical guy that always helped anyone in need at anytime whether it be family, friends, strangers, acquaintances,etc... ANYBODY! All of his girls were his biggest blessings and laughter moments but My Mom was the love of his life; they just hit 46 years married this year on August 13th. I strongly believe he would not want my Mom to struggle although he usually made her with his cigarette funds lol. He is loved and survived by so many including his wife( My Mom: Annie Potokar) , Me (Jennifer Silva), my sister (Christina potokar), my husband ( Jose Silva), my brother in law (David Enochs) and all 5 of his beautiful grandaughters: Allison , Madelyn, Aubrielle, Gianna, soon to be another baby girl, and all others that knew him! He had a heart of steel, smiles for miles, and a laugh that was bittersweet when you heard it. He touched so many hearts, shook so many hands and was loved by millions! I'm asking all of you to come together in honor of my Dad as he may have helped you, shared a story with you, a laugh with you, a beer with you, or just kept one another company with future finances as his income helped with bills. Please respect the immediate family's privacy as we mourn our tremendous loss. The World was a better place with my Dad in it and we all miss him tremendously.

We have chosen to cremate my Dad so each of us can have a piece of him in our homes with us.

On a later date, we will be having a 3 rifle salute for my Dad as he wished from being a veteran in the Marine Corps.

DAD, I know your smiling up there knowing were all sticking together, and don't worry Mom won't be alone , we will take care of her as you always did for us! I love you and miss you so very much! REST IN HEAVEN PAPA, YOUR GIRLS MISS YOU DEARLY!
