In Memory of Bobby Austin: Support for His Loved Ones

Robert Christopher Austin, known affectionately as Bobby, passed away on September 8, 2024, in Pittsburgh, PA, at the age of 50. Born on February 18, 1974, in Pittsburgh, Bobby grew up attending Seville Elementary and North Hills High School before earning his degree from Clarion University.

Bobby was a man who cherished his family and friends profoundly. Known for his clever wit and readiness to offer a humorous comment, he made every conversation memorable and joyful. An avid lover of the outdoors and anything mechanical, Bobby's passions were as large as his personality.

He is survived by his loving wife, Janet Austin; children, Kennedy, Carson, Connor, Matt, Aidan, and Becky; grandchildren, Landon and Leeland; mother, Nancy Austin; sister, Lori Baum (Billy); brother, Ricky Austin (Mandy); nephews, Billy and Brady Baum; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Bobby was preceded in death by his father, Walt Austin.

Friends and family are invited to gather for viewing at Furlong Funeral Home, 140 Cherry Street, Marienville, PA 16239, on Wednesday, the 11th of September. Viewing times are from 12 pm to 2 pm and 4 pm to 6 pm, followed by a service at 6 pm. Bobby's life and legacy will be honored in a ceremony reflecting his spirited and loving nature.
