02/04/2025: Thank you to everyone for the outpouring of support for Karie! This last week has been very difficult but she has been so strong and taking care of all of the things one has to do during this time. She has felt your love and kindness through this process.
Please continue to share - so close to goal and it will be a long road ahead. Thank you to the community for coming together for her!
There will be a few celebrations down the road in honor of Brandon and we will keep you updated on those details.
Brandon W. Gipson
01/16/1983 – 01/28/2025
On Tuesday, January 28th, 2025 Brandon tragically passed away due to a workplace accident with Whatcom County Public Works while on the job in Bellingham, WA. Brandon leaves behind a loving and devoted wife, Karie, and beautiful daughter, Cerinaty.
Brandon was a hard-working husband and father. He loved his wife with every ounce of his being. She was his entire world. Anyone who knows them knew how special their bond was and how she was everything to him. He loved making her smile, watching TV together and still wrote her love letters even after over 11 years of marriage. He adored his daughter and loved making her laugh and pulling pranks. She was incredibly special to him.
Brandon grew up in California and joined the military. He was a US Marine serving 10 years for his country. He was passionate about the military and spoke fondly of his time and the many people he met and served with. He enjoyed getting to know local service members and connecting with them.
Brandon was overjoyed when he got on with the Whatcom County Public Works Department. When he started there, he found his home. He loved his co-workers. Even on rough days he and the crew were always able to laugh and have a good time. He was known for his sense of humor and willingness to do the hardest of jobs. The crew weren’t just co-workers but his friends. He enjoyed spending time with them on the job site as well as outside of work.
There is a large whole in the hearts of all that loved and cared for Brandon. He was a shining light and could brighten anyone’s day. During this difficult time, you can help by supporting his wife. All funds will go to her to help with expenses. Please keep Karie, Cerinaty and the rest of his family in your thoughts and prayers.
Semper Fi Brandon – we love you!
