In Memory of Carol Newell
Donation protected
We are absolutely devastated by Carol Newell’s passing during this pandemic. Carol Ann Pearson Newell was a gift to her family and friends, as well as all those who knew her. Carol was born in Detroit, attended school in Pinckney, and resided for many years in the Howell community with her husband William (Bill) Newell Sr. and her beloved son William Newell Jr.
Carol took great pride in her community and her neighborhood and was always willing to help a stranger or a friend in need. She worked in the restaurant industry for most of her life and was an excellent server and friend to many at the Brighton House for more than 30 years. Carol also volunteered time at the American Legion Post 141 on many different occasions. One of Carol’s passions was cooking. She not only cooked for her family but was always entertaining us with different polish recipes from her past as well as new recipes she came across in a magazine.
It is understandable during this pandemic that not everyone is able to or can attend Carol’s funeral. If you feel compelled to give during this difficult time for Carol’s husband and son, feel free to contribute in any way possible.
