In Memory of Carson Getz

Hi everyone, this is Ryan (Carson's brother), and I am setting up this GoFundMe as part of Carson's Memorial. Carson passed away on Sunday, November 6th after complications from a car accident in Morgantown, WV. The biggest obstacle in Carson's life was his diagnosis of Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS). POTS is a lesser-known condition that affects someone's autonomic nervous system, usually in younger people. Carson routinely had headaches, dizziness, nausea, and anxiety, which limited his social life throughout high school and college and led to depression. He constantly went to different doctors all over the country, desperately trying to find something to help him.

Carson was studying to be a biology major at WVU to help kids with the same condition he had. We would like to make some sort of positive impact from this horrible situation and honor Carson's dream he had by contributing to POTS charities/foundations. We obviously have a lot going on right now, so we have not done a ton of research of where we would like the money to go. We want to do our due diligence to ensure the money is used the way Carson would have liked it to be. Our plan is to do that eventually and distribute the funds accordingly. We are also thinking about planting a tree or something similar in remembrance.

We don't have a set goal or anything at this time, but we wanted to set something up for when the obituary goes out. We are grateful for all the support we have received and would like to share it with others who need it. Thank you all.
