In Memory of Cash Gernon

On Saturday the 15th May my 4 year old Nephew Cash was found horrifically murdered and dumped in the middle of the street in Dallas, Tx. My Sister Mindy and my Mother Connie had been desperately looking for him and his twin Brother since their Father took them on the run in March. Authorities have also been involved in looking for the Father and the boys.

The boys had been abandoned with a woman called Monica Sherrod, who they didn't know, by their Father and neither my Sister or Mother were contacted. The woman has also falsely claimed to be Cash's Mother and has tried to gain financially from his death. Please do not donate to any other GoFundMe or anything associated with Monica Sherrod.

My family is in shock and grieving whilst we wait to find out what exactly happened to Cash, the investigation is ongoing and a suspect is in custody. It has been questioned as to why we haven't spoken out publicly, but we have never experienced such loss and do not currently have the words to convey to anyone how we are feeling. Cash has many family members who are heartbroken, he was and is loved.

I have set up this fundraiser to help pay for the transportation of Cash's body back to his home town and a subsequent burial. My family wishes we did not have to ask for help but these are highly unexpected costs which we cannot easily cover and we want the best for him. Every penny will go towards this and any other costs directly associated with this case.
