In Memory of Chelsea Valladares

Chelsea was our beloved daughter, a devoted sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and a loyal friend to all who knew her.

She was supposed to graduate from Grand Canyon University in 3 weeks. Her wish for senior year was "to have fun" . . . that she did! She was living her best life and thriving! She was a sweet, kind, loving, smart, funny young woman who loved Jesus and lived her life for Him.

While living in Phoenix these past four years, she found her home at Pure Heart Church in Glendale, Arizona, where she got involved with the youth group there and faithfully served as a youth leader to middle school students for the past 3+ years.

Her favorite event at Pure Heart was the annual Valley Conference for middle and high school students, which she attended for three years. This past February, after the conference, she called us to tell us how impactful it was for her and that while attending a breakout session for youth leaders she felt God calling her to stay in Arizona after graduating (instead of returning home to California). She said that she knew that coming home would be "easier" because she wouldn't have to pay rent, etc. but that she didn't care if she had to struggle financially to remain in Arizona just as long as she was faithful to the calling God had placed on her life to continue working with youth at Pure Heart.

It is Chelsea's passion for, and devotion to, the youth of Pure Heart that we are setting up this GoFundMe in her memory with money used to provide scholarships for future Pure Heart middle school and high school students to attend Valley Conference. Chelsea would be thrilled to see so many young lives impacted by attending this conference and would be honored that you would give in this way to honor her.
