Marathon in Memory of Chris "Crossy" Crosthwaite

On Tuesday 12th October, under incredibly tragic circumstances, we said goodbye to a much loved friend, son, brother, soulmate and amazing Dad, Crossy.

As my brothers best friend, I grew up with Chris always really being there - and forever hearing about and witnessing some of the crazy situations he found himself in, which I always found hilarious.

For everyone that knew Chris, he was an incredibly smart, witty, driven and fun loving guy - we will never forget the iconic moment that he dressed up as Jareth, the king of the goblins from the Labyrinth on my brothers 30th - he was the spitting image!

Chris & his partner Jen have been together since they were teenagers, attending Uni in Leeds together where they lived for many years before moving home to Barrow to have their beautiful children. Chris was an amazing Daddy and leaves behind Edie 7, Stanley 5 and Henry 1 who will miss him every second of every day.

Chris in recent years had thrown himself into fitness, completing numerous running and cycling challenges, cycling on average almost 700ks a month!

In his memory, I will be running the Melbourne Marathon on December 12th to raise money for his partner Jen and his three children in the hope of easing some financial burden and to spend however they wish to help heal.

This is my first ever Marathon, and as hard it as it will be, it's nothing compared to how tough it'll be for his family and friends to rebuild without him - so please, give what you can, every penny/cent is greatly appreciated!
