"a Shoreham man died early Sunday morning after he lost control of the car he was driving and it struck a pole, then fire hydrant in Port Jefferson Station, Suffolk police said."

"Christopher McGuckin was driving a 2012 Hyundai Genesis southbound on Route 112, near Washington Avenue, when he lost control of it, and it struck a telephone pole and a fire hydrant before crashing into a tree, at around 12:45 a.m., according to police."
