Funeral Expenses for Christina McPherson
Donation protected
Christina McPherson passed away peacefully at Loyola Hospital on Sunday, October 23rd, 2022 with her mom, Carol by her side.
Christina was recently plagued with compounding health conditions which led her to being admitted and sedated on October 7th. During that time, she tackled additional infections and complications that took a toll on her body but she kept fighting. About a week later, she was able to come off the ventilator and was lucid enough for her long-time love, Pawel, and for her family to say goodbye over the last few days. However, it was finally time for her to rest on Sunday.
Christina met Pawel in high school and reconnected many years ago. They were lucky enough to spend the last decade or more together, going to concerts together, laughing together, and supporting each other through everything life brings. I’ve seen true love come from Pawel as she was fighting to come back to us.
Christina was very close to her older brother Jeremy. When they were younger, and grounded to their rooms for getting into trouble, they would talk through the heating vents. Jeremy and Christina both shared a love for playing pool in leagues and just for fun.
Many of our favorite memories of Christina involve telling hilarious stories, a multitude of inside jokes, dancing, and laughing together in the most obnoxious ways. She has an unreal amount of friends and people who love her, and many have become family over the years.
Christina is best remembered for her infectious smile and laugh and how the entire mood of the room changed when she was around. She was ready and willing to help her friends when they needed it and was always available to listen during a tough time. Christina had graduated ECC as a pastry chef. She was a daughter, girlfriend, sister, and consistent friend and confidant.
As we all know, funeral arrangements can be expensive, especially when we are not prepared for them. Please consider donating to Christina’s family during this most difficult time. No parent should have to bury their child and Christina’s mom will now have to have buried two of her children. Let’s help lessen the burden on her family. A large portion of the cost is due at the time of the burial. Thank you in advance for your donations.
Christina is survived by her mother, Carol Williams, brother, Jeremy McPherson, and long-time boyfriend, Pawel Surdyka and numerous friends and relatives. She is preceded in death by her brother, Jason McPherson, her father, Curt McPherson, Grand parents - VonDahlen & McPherson, and step-father Daron Williams. She will have a private burial for family, and an informal celebration for this beautiful life on a date TBD.
