In Memory of Clayton Paul Skaggs

Hello,

My name is Alyssa Jansma, I’ve known Clayton for over 20 years and considered him to be my big brother while I was always affectionately “sis.” Clayton was found unresponsive on 12/20/23 and brought to Corewell Health Hospital where numerous tests found that he had been without oxygen for far too long to sustain life. He was officially proclaimed deceased on 12/23/23 at 4:25pm. By the request of his biological sister Kellii Skaggs Ford who resides in Texas I am making this Gofundme so that we can give Clayton proper rest with his remains. Due to the suddenness of his passing and numerous other circumstances we are unable to afford even a simple cremation at this time. We would like to give him a final rest that he deserves so that Kellii, his brother Cody, and especially his precious son Mason can continue to love and honor him.

We are trying to lay his remains to rest before the state takes over and places our loved one in an unmarked grave that will be inaccessible to the public. Your donations to achieve this are greatly appreciated.

Clayton gave the gift of life to numerous others by donating his heart, his liver and his kidneys on 12/28/23 at 12pm. He was walked to the OR surrounded by love and his heart will be beating again to save someone’s life before this day ends.

We ask that those who knew and love Clayton contribute to his final rest as he would have done for any of us.
