In Memory of Coach Mike: Support His Family

Hello!

My name is Katie. I am one of the managers for the Rogers Squirt B2 Blue team.

Coach Mike (Coach Moose) Betker was our head coach and passed away suddenly.

Mike was the best dad to his two young boys. He was the best coach to all of those lucky enough to be on his teams throughout the years.

Mike was an integral part of the RYHA community, coaching both of his sons' hockey teams. He was the head coach of our Squirt traveling team and the head coach for his youngest son’s Mite C Sabres team. His enthusiasm for hockey shined through every practice, game, and tournament. The Betker’s backyard, especially in the winter, was the place to be to skate on their backyard rink or to just hanging out!

Mike loved to coach, he loved hockey, and he treated every kid on his teams like one of his own. He will be deeply missed throughout the RYHA community.

We would love to be able to help Laura, Sully, and Rowan out financially during this extremely difficult time.
