In Memory of Corey Dowden

Donation protected
Corey’s friends and colleagues at Worley are raising money to support the Dowden family with their sudden and tragic loss. Corey passed away in a motor vehicle accident on Sunday, January 12.
Corey was a loving husband, father, friend, brother, son, leader, mentor, and was an inspiration to all those around him. The lives that Corey touched cannot be counted and the memories that he has left behind will be shared forever.
Corey leaves behind his loving wife Crystal and his 2 beautiful daughters Keira & Kendra. Corey's family was always his #1 priority and he went above and beyond to spend time with them. He was so proud of both of his daughters - he would often talk about their figure skating and karate and could not wait to get home to be able to attend all of their events. He would then come back to work and have a show and tell with pictures and stories, recounting their achievements. When you couldn't find Corey, chances are high he was either on his bike, wind in his face or playing Call of Duty, with "Ranger-372" chirping everyone through his headset!
Corey loved cranes, structural building projects, learning new things, and was unofficially “IT support” on site with his unmatched nerd skills. Corey was the strong and silent type but never missed an opportunity to take a well aimed shot, always with impeccable comedic timing. He could make a whole room laugh and went out of his way to make a positive impression and lead by example. Corey would never back down from a challenge and loved to laugh and joke with his co-workers. The impact Corey made throughout his time in the trades was immense. He mentored and built a strong culture of camaraderie with his work family who trusted and relied on each other, showing people how being part of a team was vital to everyone’s success.
Corey was driven to succeed and worked his way through the ranks with Cord, his roles changing as much as the name of the company did. He worked most recently as a Construction Manager with Worley on a project in Saskatchewan. Corey was never satisfied with being average and wanted to be the very best at every challenge he took on.
Each and every one of us is feeling his loss and we appreciate the opportunity to be able to show the Dowden family how much Corey meant to all of us. Thank you in advance to everyone who is able to donate. Corey will be missed every day.
