ወንድማችን፣ ጋዜጠኛ፣ እና የስነፅሁፍ ባለሙያው አቶ ዳንኤል ገዛኸኝ የነበረበትን የቆየ የጤና እንከን ለማሻሻል በሆስፒታል ገብቶ የቀዶ ጥገና ህክምና በማድረግ የተሻለ ጤና እና ቁመና ይዞ ለመውጣት ያደረገው ጥረት፣ የከፈለው ስቃይ፣ ተስፋውን፣ እውን ሳያደርግ ቀርቶ ኦግስት 1፣ 2024 ከዚህ አለም በሞት ተለይቶናል።

ዳንኤል በሚኖርበት ሱ ፎልስ ከተማ ማህበረሰቡን ሲያገናኝ እና ሲያሳትፍ የነበረ፣ ሁሉን አክባሪ፣ ፈሪሀ እግዚአብሔር የተሞላው፣ ለኢትዮጵያውያን ማህበረሰባችን ልዩ ፍቅር እና ተስፋ የሰነቀ ወንድም ነበር። ዳንኤል ለሚወዳት ሚስቱ ፍቅሬ ሁሌ አለሁልሽ ባይ፣ ሁሉ ነገር፣ ካጠገቧ የማይጠፋ ጓደኛ እና ወንድም የነበረው ሰው ነው። የዳንኤል አስከሬን በሚወዳት አገሩ እና ሕዝብ ዘንድ የዘላለም እረፍት እንዲያደርግ ወደ ኢትዮጵያ የሚጓጓዝበትን ወጪ ለመሸፈን ሆነ ለፍቅሬ ድጋፍ እንሆን ዘንድ ሁላችም የተቻለንን እንድናደርግ፤ ይህንንም ሊንክ ለሌሎች በመላክ እንተባበር በማለት በትህትና እንጠይቃለን።

Dear friends: our friend, community leader, journalist, and talented literary man, and a dotting husband and life partner to his wife Fikre, Ato Daniel Gezahegn Wendemu, received a kidney and pancreas transplant surgery in hopes to improve his chronic struggle with kidney failure and to live a better and healthier life. However, his hopes and dreams for a life beyond a transplant didn't come to fruition as he succumbed to his pain and unexpectedly passed away on August 1, 2024. Daniel loved life, respected everyone, and served his church and community with all his heart, despite his condition.

We are asking for your help with transport cost to enable Daniel's body to rest in his beloved Ethiopia and amongst the people to whom he gave his heart and soul all his life.
