In Memory of David Betancourt

On Monday, November 6th, David Betancourt passed away surrounded by his loving family at RWJ Somerset Hospital. David spent 10 years battling end stage renal failure and received dialysis treatments 3 times a week. David was admitted to the hospital on Friday, November 3rd and spent 3 days in the ICU receiving vigorous live saving treatments, but ultimately succumbed to his illnesses.

David was surrounded by his loving and extremely hard working family. Since moving to North Plainfield, NJ from Agua Caliente Guatemala, David and his wife Cindy worked many jobs to make ends meet. After becoming of age, both of David’s sons, Lester and Jeiner, also began working multiple jobs to support their family after David was unable to work due to his medical conditions. Throughout this time, his family has remained very close and have always supported each other. Despite these living conditions, Cindy, Lester and Jeiner have always proven to be extremely generous to all of their family and friends. They truly treat everyone like family.

David’s passing has posed a tremendous financial toll on all of David’s family. This GoFundMe is started in hopes of raising money to cover the extensive funeral costs and medical bills. Any help is truly appreciated.
