In Memory of David Keller - The Keller Family Fund

My Uncle, David Keller, was many things to those he loved and worked with... Most of us will remember him as an incredibly kind, humble and faithful man in every aspect of his life. His recent passing is an inexplicable loss to his family and community.

David was a caring and patient father to three special needs children; Sean, Katie and Matthew. He was a dedicated and loving husband to Debra, sharing 41 years of togetherness. He was the son, brother, uncle, friend and colleague that could always be relied on to show up with a selfless willingness to help however he could and lift the spirits of those around him.

David lived a simple yet full life... In his 30 year career in the irrigation business he worked his way up from counter sales to directing the opening and design of new locations for Horizon across the country. Outside of work, he spent time with his family, practicing his faith of Christian Science, playing chess and golf, and rooting for the SF Giants.  He had an appreciation for the simple joys of life; a good sense of humor, the beauty of the ocean, tide pooling with Deb along the CA coast, and his collection of colorful tropical fish he tended to. He was a fantastic artist and home chef known for making the best Thanksgiving turkey (that we all actually looked forward to eating)!  In an extended family of mostly women, David provided a grounded strength and guidance that everyone benefitted from.

David was born in Phoenix, AZ and grew up with a passion for art and tennis (almost becoming pro). With the support of his family, at the age of 17 he moved to Newport Beach, CA and then went onto work in Hawaii, Florida and several other places  before landing in Marin County, CA where he met Deb, and his greatest journey began. Together they raised their three amazing kids who are a reflection of the joyous and grateful heart that David navigated his world with. He passed away peacefully in his sleep the morning of May 7th.

David will mostly be remembered for the unconditional love he had for his family. It’s in that spirit that we’ve created this fundraiser for the Keller’s so that the ongoing and significant long-term needs of his family can be supported.

With love and gratitude in David’s memory,
~ The Keller Family
