In memory of Dawid Marton
Donation protected
- I am writing on behalf of the mother who unexpectedly lost her only child in March this year; he was my nephew ...
It happened in Germany, where he moved from Poland after excepting his "dream job"...
He died in his apartment during the night.
Facing challenges from childhood to grad school, where he received his Master's degree in finance, he beat the odds. He wanted to be the best and encouraged everybody around him to do the same. He loved life, music, always upbeat, and had a great sense of humor.
Dawid was also an avid sports fan. Soccer was his favorite; Real Madrid was his number one. He loved New York City, his favorite basketball team was the Knicks and in football Tom Brady's New England Patriots.
After the pandemic, he was hired by a company in Munich, Germany, last December. He was thrilled, starting to fulfill his dreams, but the most important thing was to give his mother a better life.
They had a special relationship; they did everything together, they were best friends.... they talked and texted every day.
The last communication she had was a video clip from a gathering at his work the night before his passing...
After receiving the tragic news, his mother traveled to Germany to face a parent's worst nightmare.
She had to set up his transport back home, make funeral arrangements and hire an attorney ( In Germany, it's required to obtain a lawyer to find out any information ).
We still have many unanswered questions and still don't know the cause of death, which is unsettling.
Dawid didn't have any significant health issues; he didn't abuse alcohol or use drugs.
His mother is beyond devastated and heartbroken, lost her will to live.
She is left with debt for funeral costs, transport, attorney fees and student loans.
A single parent losing her only child is inconceivable.
To alleviate some or all of her financial burden would be a blessing.
All donations received will go directly to his mother, Anna Marton
