In Memory of Debbie Lawyer

The Lawyer family has experienced an unimaginable loss. Debbie Lawyer unexpectedly passed away early in the morning on Thursday, November 5th due to COVID-19.  As a 40-year Penn employee, Debbie was a fixture of the EKG lab, someone whose smile and dedication brightened many of our days. Debbie never missed the annual Cardiology holiday party. She lit up the dance floor every time. Her energy, enthusiasm and passion for working in Cardiology was an inspiration to all.

Debbie leaves behind a husband, two daughters and a grandchild.  She was the primary caretaker and provider for herself and her husband.  This campaign was set up by her Penn Family in response to the many requests for those looking to help Debbie’s family.  The money raised through this page will help alleviate their financial burden.  The family thanks you for your kindness and generosity and is grateful for the many warm words of support they are receiving during this difficult time.
