In memory of Derek Tanner - Del boy
Donation protected
The whole family would like to thank everyone that donated it means a lot.
It helped us to raise a drink on 27th November in memory of Derek (Del-boy)
Derek went into hospital on Wednesday 9th October, a week later we were told that it was terminal, he was then transferred to the hospice on Friday 19th October.
We had hoped we had a couple more weeks, but it was not meant to be.
There was no indication that he would pass away on the Monday 21st October at 3.30pm
Derek leaves behind his wife Joan Tanner, married for 53 years and his four children Desmond, Debbie, Terry and Joseph.
Derek also leaves behind two surviving brothers Ronnie, and Denis.
There was no funeral plans in place, or savings to pay for Derek final journey.
We instructed Lodge Brothers to organise the funeral for our father.
Funerals are costly, due to our father wanting a burial the final bill will be close to £10,000
The burial plot alone was £2400
The people that know Derek, know that he was a giving man, always putting others before himself.
He was never afraid to play the fool, he was a caring man and would like everyone remember him that way.
Derek was a hard worker, and he would commend anyone that worked hard.
I remember at Christmas time dad would go out and tip the bin men.
