In memory of Don Scheer

Donation protected
I have always been told, you are blessed to wake up each day as tomorrow is never promised. As we get older we realize no truer words have been spoken. But sometimes age isn’t even a factor.
Yesterday, October 17th for reasons only the good Lord knows, Don suffered a massive stroke which caused a brain injury that ultimately he could not recover from. In the morning hours of October 18th, Don was called home. His tomorrows will no longer be spent here on earth with us, but rather watching over his 3 kids and the multitude of family and friends that love him dearly.
Don spent a good 30 years serving the community. Starting with the Mt. Washington Fire Department many years ago to spending the last 17 years as a Paramedic with Louisville Metro. Serving is what he loves to do. He was a part of the GBCYFL’s Maryville Patriots Football & Cheer organization for 10 years, where his daughter, Mikayla, still cheers and is a staff member for the league. Don won’t stop saving lives today, he will continue to save lives in days and weeks to come thanks to being an organ donor, but who would expect anything less, right?
To carry on his memory are his three beautiful children, who are absolutely devastated to lose their dad so young and so quickly.
As you you go about your day, please keep these kids in prayer and any support you can provide to help with funeral and the various expenses they will incur is much appreciated.
