In Memory of our Mom, Donna Logan

My mom, who was 54 years old, was born and raised in Rhode Island. Heartbreakingly, she unexpectedly passed away on the morning of May 6th, 2020. Anyone who knew her, knew that she was extremely proud of her three children, Ally, Ashley, and Tommy, and was obsessed with her two grandchildren, Aurora and Jayven. 

Donna Logan lived a complicated and influential life. She spent a large amount of her time in her community of friends and neighbors, always willing to lend a hand, share in a laugh, and listen to someone else's pain. My mom was loved by all different people. She never judged a book by it's cover, she cared about everyone and shared her lively spirit, support, and humor with anyone and everyone she came into contact with.

My mom also lived a life characterized by hardship and struggle. She was a single mother to three kids, and was always struggling along a path of self-improvement. Although she lived quite a difficult life, she was a strong, stubborn, loving woman who taught me and my siblings many things. She taught us to love people for who they are, fight and advocate for ourselves and others, and believe that we could beat the odds and achieve a brighter future. 

We will remember her as a goofy, fun-loving, resilient, survivor. She has changed our lives and many others. Due to COVID-19 we cannot hold a service for our mother, but would love the opportunity to celebrate her. We are raising money to pay for the cost of cremation and commemorate her at the Memorial Grove at Swan Point Cemetery in Providence. Someday in the future, we will celebrate her with a gathering.
