In Memory of Dr. Abraham Amaya

Hello, everyone. I am starting this GoFundMe in the name of my father, Dr. Abraham Amaya. I am devastated to inform you all that he passed on the night of Dec. 30th due to health complications related to Covid-19. Dr. Amaya was a Part-Time Instructor at the College of Southern Nevada (CSN) and he took great pride in his position. He spoke highly of the community, and he never ceased to tell us about the brilliance of all the students he had the pleasure of teaching. Dr. Amaya was deeply grateful for all of his colleagues at CSN; one of his greatest joys came from interacting with like-minded professionals. 

Dr. Amaya will be dearly missed. My mother and I are in the process of preparing his final resting place. Any funds collected will be used towards these preparation costs. Due to the pandemic, we will not be hosting a service. 

Thank you to everyone for all of your support. It means so much to us. We are infinitely grateful for all of the love that has come from the community. This is a difficult time for our family, and we deeply appreciate the kindness that has been shown to us during this holiday season.
