DYLAN'S OBITUARY
Dylan Gregory Reimers, age 25, of Bethany, OK, passed away on October 23, 2024. He was born on January 6, 1999, to Gregory and Amanda (Dearinger) Reimers.
Early in his life, Dylan showed an interest in all sports. At the age of three, he began playing soccer, which then led to baseball, basketball, football, cross country, and track. He enjoyed all of them but found his passion in soccer. Dylan played on competitive traveling teams as well as his high school varsity soccer team. In his senior year, he was selected for the All-State West team and voted Man of the Year. Dylan began his elementary education at Lake Park Elementary and Overholser Elementary before moving to Bethany Public Schools, where he graduated in 2017. His friends, teachers, and coaches described him as exceptional, a gentleman, filled with joy, intellectual, diligent, friendly, considerate, thoughtful, kind, and loyal.
He continued his education and played collegiate soccer at Southwest Christian University, where his team won an NCCAA National Championship. Dylan received his Associate Degree in Science-Enterprise Development from Oklahoma State University and continued his studies in Management Information Systems at the University of Central Oklahoma. He found a great work family at MHC Kenworth, where he was a fleet account representative.
Dylan was known for his quick wit and engaging personality. He will always be remembered for his infectious smile and laughter. Some of Dylan’s favorite pastimes included fishing, playing computer and video games, spending time at the lake with friends and family, disc golf, hunting, riding dirt bikes, and country line dancing.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Gregory and Amanda (Dearinger) Reimers of Bethany; his brother, Hunter; and his sister, Avery, also of Bethany. He is survived by his grandparents, Kelly and Debbie (Ford) Johnson of Oklahoma City, Rick and Sue (Holland) Dearinger of Stillwater, and Shirley (Johnson) Reimers of Bethany; his great-grandmother, Aloma Gene (King) Ford of Stillwater; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him dearly. Dylan was preceded in death by his aunt, Stacey (Reimers) Cole, and his grandfather, Jerry Reimers, whose presence and influence in his life were deeply cherished.
Dylan’s memorial service will be held on Monday, November 4, 2024, at 4:00 PM at Together We Church, 620 N Cemetery Rd, Yukon, OK 73099, with interment to follow at Yukon Cemetery.
