In memory of Elizabeth Gutierrez
Donation protected
With heavy hearts, we share the passing of our beloved mother, Elizabeth Gutierrez. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother of three (Arthur, Robert, Alyssa), a cherished grandmother of twelve, and a talented cake decorator whose creativity brought joy to many. She raised her children as a single mother until she met the love of her life, Nasario Gutierrez, with whom she shared 26 wonderful years.
Elizabeth was a fighter. In 2006, she underwent her first open-heart surgery, which was complicated by medical malpractice due to the Anesthesiologist error. A decade later, in 2017, she endured a second open-heart surgery, a difficult 13-hour procedure at USC Keck Hospital, where USC Heart Surgeons replaced her aortic and tricuspid valves. Despite the challenges, she fought hard to regain her health.
Two years ago, her battle grew even tougher when her kidneys began to fail. After going in and out of the hospital she was placed on lifesaving IV heart medication and began dialysis treatment. The USC medical team conducted multiple tests to determine if she was a candidate for a heart and kidney transplant. In a heartbreaking moment, her doctors at USC informed her that she had been denied placement on the transplant list. Given only six months to live, Elizabeth defied the odds and fought for another year. Her unwavering faith in God gave her peace when it was time to go at 63 years old.
We appreciate any donation, big or small, and even if you cannot contribute financially, sharing this fundraiser would mean the world to us. Thank you for your love, kindness, and support during this difficult time.
We decided to create this for those who can not make the funeral, but want to contribute to honor her legacy.

HEAVENS WALK
"It's time for me to take the steps
that lead to heavens gate.
And with each step I'll think of you
and all the time we've spent.
I am going now to paradise
where theres only love and no pain.
and I will wait until the time
we see each other again."
