Eric Whaley - Video (click the link)
Eric Whaley went to be with the Lord on March 5, 2021 at the age of 41. He passed suddenly and unexpectedly, leaving behind his wife and step daughter. His life ended too soon, and the final expenses came abruptly. Many have expressed the desire to send a donation in lieu of flowers. You can do so with this link.
Eric was full of life. Everything he did, he did with passion and vigor. He lived life fully and loved completely. When he decided to pursue something, it was whole-heartedly. Whether learning another language, most recently German, or pencilling a portrait of his beautiful wife, he was ALL in. He was a self-taught pianist, and learned to play by ear without ever reading a musical note. He was a talented craftsman, specializing in high-end remodel work. He was meticulous in his craft. If you knew him, you know he could light up any room, and bring a laugh in any situation.
Ericwas born on December 2nd, 1979 to SueAnn (McKaughan) and Fred Whaley. Eric was a child full of fun and surprises. Whether it was a frog in his lunch box or a lizard in his pocket, he kept everyone on their toes. As children he and his sister Jessica (Eskew) were inseparable. Eric grew up in Tampa where his parents led in ministry. He was a Christian and was in constant pursuit of a relationship with the Lord. In 2015, Eric met and fell in love with Alanna, and they were married in 2018. His beautiful family was his proudest accomplishment.
