In Memory of Erik Miles: Support for Tara and Portia

Erik Miles, 55, was a devoted husband, loving father, and caring son who tragically passed away on May 1, 2024, leaving behind his wife, daughter, parents, and siblings. Just one week before his passing, Erik proudly accompanied his daughter, Portia, as she explored universities for her upcoming fall semester. Upon their return, Erik fell gravely ill and, within a few days, tragically passed away due to an aortic dissection.

In the wake of this devastating loss, we come together to support Tara and Portia as they navigate the unimaginable grief of losing their beloved husband and father. Beyond the emotional toll, they are facing the daunting reality of mounting financial burdens. Erik was the primary breadwinner of his family, and now living expenses, medical bills, and insurance costs have become overwhelming challenges they must confront alone; compounded by the additional support costs incurred as Portia begins her college education in the United States this August.

While we cannot erase their pain, we can help alleviate some of their financial burdens during this incredibly difficult time. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference in supporting Tara, who is a caregiver for an elderly family member, and Portia as they strive to heal and rebuild their lives.
