In Memory of Ernesto I. Cortez

With great sadness, our father Ernesto Cortez passed away on May 11, 2020 from COVID-19. He fought long and hard for his life in the ICU in our local hospital for almost a month. It was extremely difficult to maintain contact and provide direct support given the on-going CDC restrictions and guidelines. He was a hardworking and selfless man that worked nearly 7 days a week to take care of his family and his other relatives in other countries. He would never deny anybody help even if it meant he was struggling for himself.  Given the light of his circumstances, he unfortunately did not have much money saved up. It's been difficult maintaining and procuring work for his immediate family due to personal complications behind COVID-19. We would really appreciate any donation to help cover his funeral expenses.  No donation is too small. Thank you so much in advance and my prayers go out to all the other families going through similar situations. We will not let this disease win. Stay safe and well!

Con gran tristeza les comunicamos que nuestro padre Ernesto Cortez falleció el 11 de mayo de 2020 de Covid-19. Luchó por su vida en el hospital durante casi un mes. Nuestro padre era un  gran ser humano, hombre sencillo, bondadoso, y trabajador que trabajaba 7 días a la semana para cuidar a nuestra familia y a sus otros parientes en El Salvador. El nunca hubiera negado darle ayuda a alguien aunque el mismo tuviera problemas. No tenemos los fondos  porque nuestra familia no ha estado trabajando debido a Covid-19. Realmente apreciaríamos cualquier donación para ayudar a cubrir sus gastos del funeral. Ninguna donación es demasiado pequeña. Muchas gracias de antemano y nuestras oraciones están con todas las otras familias que pasan por situaciones similares. No dejaremos que este virus los derote. Que Dios los bendiga.
