In Memory of Evan Santos Montañez

Ramon Negron is a colleague and friend of ours, and quite frankly a genuinely great guy.  A personable and thoughtful man who has truly endeared himself to those of us who work with him and learn from his insights.  On Wednesday 7/29 Ramon came into to work to let us know he needed some time off.   We could tell this was not a normal request as his usual cheerful demeanor was gone and in its place was something else; something painful.  We were not prepared for his words.  Ramon began with "There is no easy way to say this" and let us know his son was tragically killed the night before.  The heaviness of his words and the pain in his eyes was the weight of the world.  The weight of the world on a man who has to plan the funeral of his son.  

We never got the chance to meet Ramon's son, and for respect for Ramon and his family it is not my place to go into the details of their tragedy here.  However if we can help this great guy in what has to be a terrible time, it is the least we can do.  Planning a funeral for a young man who is gone before his time is not only painful, but very costly.  Your donation will go directly to Ramon and is to help cover the cost of funeral expenses.  In memory of Evan Santos Montanez 10/9/1986-7/28/2020
