In Memory of Felipe, Andres and Angel

On Wednesday, October 26, the lives of Felipe and Andres Madrid were lost in a tragic fire.

The two young men were students at Lubbock High School in Lubbock, Texas. Felipe, a senior, was a leader in the band and served as drum major while Andrew was just starting his high school life as a freshman.

The following is a message from their father.

"I want to thank you and all the Lubbock High teachers for helping to steer Felipe throughout his high school career and bringing out his tremendous energy and talent that all of us saw with pride and admiration. Andrew was just beginning to find his own way, and had that continued, he too would have grown into a tremendously talented student and young man. I have no doubt that Lubbock High would have done that for him. My family and I are blessed and inspired by all the love and support the Westerner community has given to Felipe and Andrew in this trying and tragic time."
