In Memory of Fernando Picariello

Last Sunday, December 4th, our community was shaken by the horrific news that Fernando Picariello(57) had unexpectedly passed away while vacationing in the Dominican Republic.

Coach Fernando, a resident of Ridgefield Park, was well known in the New Jersey soccer community, having worked in several of the top soccer academies in NJ and until recently as the director of coaching at BSM and a coach for the Tenafly High School teams.

He leaves behind his daughter Melissa Picariello(23) and his son Guglielmo Picariello(16).

We ask all of you to help us make a proper send-off. As you can imagine, neither Melissa nor Guglielmo was prepared for such a tragic life-changing event and the cost incurred. The funds will primarily be used to make sure Guglielmo continues his last two years at BC and that as much of his financial necessities are covered.

We truly appreciate all your thoughts, prayers and any support you can lend at this time.

They say God works in mysterious ways, but I think this one will take a bit longer to understand why.

An update for the memorial service will be posted as soon as the arrangements are finalized.
