In Memory of Fidel Garcia
Donation protected
Wm. S. Hart UHSD Teacher Fidel Garcia died suddenly in his home last week at the age of 58.
Fidel spent 20 years in the Marine Corps before returning to school to complete his college education. He has spent the last 14 years working at Sequoia School making a difference in the lives of many students with significant emotional struggles.
Fidel was an absolute miracle worker with his students. He could reach the toughest of them. If you were to walk into his classroom, it was evident that his students absolutely LOVED him. He would challenge his kids to push up contests, occasionally slip into “drill instructor” mode, and always go completely above and beyond to make an impact.
Fidel will be greatly missed by his colleagues, friends, and family. He leaves behind his parents, a wife, four siblings, and two sons. We are hoping that the donations from this GoFundMe will help financially support them in their sudden loss, though the emotional impact is immeasurable.
