In memory of George Antoniak 1950-2023

Sadly George Antoniak passed away September 20, 2023 from complications due to diabetes.

Originally from Charlottetown P.E.I. ‘George Antoniak’ became known as one of Eastern Canada’s most iconic Guitarists. George was a prolific Singer/Songwriter, Educator and Mentor to a multitude of aspiring musicians.George performed and recorded in the company of such well known artists as: Storm… Gene Maclellan … (Nova Recording Artists) RAM … Sam Moon… Dutch Mason… Co-wrote several songs and performed on Matt Minglewood’s M-5 album … Touring ‘Europe’ and ‘The Middle East’ with Quebec Rockers ‘Lou Garou’… Also writing, recording, and touring with: Raylene Rankin … Laura smith … Wayne Nicholson … Lisa MacDougall … Eileen Joyce … and the list goes on. In our East Coast Music Community (“the best in the world”) most of us knew ‘George Antoniak’ as a loving and caring soul who was always there to help others. This time George needs ‘Our’ help.

Two years of complications due to diabetes led to his passing yesterday. After amputation of one leg and several hospitalizations George was no longer able to support himself.

In order to alleviate some of the emotional and financial strain on his family we are asking for donations.

George's service will be held at All Nations Church 2535 Robie Street (Robie and Charles) on October 2 at 4 pm.
