Gisella (Gigi) Babasa, 58, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2016 after a brief battle with cancer in her brother’s house in Jersey Village. Memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, December 27 at Cypress Fairbanks Funeral Home at 9926 Jones Road Houston, Texas.

Gigi was born on May 21, 1958 to Rizalina and Casimiro Sangel  in Manila, Philippines. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She was very active in her Christian faith and a loyal servant of Christ even at an early age. She dedicated her life raising her four children and serving the Lord Jesus Christ. She graduated from Torres High School and attended Polytechnic University of the Philippines. In 1980, she married her late husband Jojo Babasa. She worked at Walmart as a merchandise clerk for about 12 years.

Gisella was survived by her children Joel, Jem, John, AJ, daughters in law Loraine, Nina, Stephanie, grandchildren Theo, Anika, mother Lily, siblings Ed, Ine, Ato, Baby, Popoy, Beth, Phillip, nieces, nephews, a number of relatives and close friends.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent on this page, [email redacted] via chase QP or Venmo @jel-babasa
