Isabella Curcio 2002 -2023
Isabella Elena Curcio age 21 passed away suddenly when her car was struck by another vehicle at the intersection of King and Queen in Bolton, Ontario early Saturday morning May 6 on her way home from work.
Izzy was a free spirit, fierce friend and loving daughter. Izzy was born at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto on April 3, 2002 and the family relocated to Bolton when she was 3 months old. She attended St. Nicolas Catholic School and St. Michael Catholic School. Izzy suffered from Alopecia and with grace, humor and courage from the age of 4 to now overcame the physical and mental trauma of that disease like a champion. Her family was so proud of her and the way she dealt with her disease.
As Izzy turned 21 she had a beautiful mane of long, curly, hair that she longed for all her life, thanks to the dedication of her dad and the 4 am rides to Toronto for weekly treatment and the amazing and compassionate Dr. Walsh at Sunnybrook Hospital. Izzy had a way of living life to the fullest, she worked out and sculpted her body to fit her vision of herself, and had a great sense of style that was unique. She baked amazing treats and delicious and exotic dishes, her blueberry scones were world class. She had an amazing sense of humor and loved all animals. She is survived by her albino snake Mr. Noodles and her Gecko Plato and the family dog a teacup Chihuahua named Snow. She worked as a forklift driver at DB Shankar where she planned to make her fortune by trading her hard gotten gains in the stock and crypto market.
She called her mother every day from work and came home for lunch and first greeted Snow and talked to mom and dad about the topics of the day that interested her as her dinner heated. She has a YouTube site where she offered music and images for mediation, relaxation and focus for studying. She was working on a website called Desire n Acquire to sell clothing and cosmetics. She played violin, acoustic and electric guitar and bass and dabbled on the keyboards.
Izzy was loved and touched many hearts with her loyalty, curiosity and courage. It seems whoever had the good fortune to cross her path she enriched their lives. Her tragic death has brought the community of Caledon and her family together with love and support sorely need after the last four years of hardship and division.
Her family is grateful the outpouring of sympathy and love from family, friends, neighbors, and the community. Izzy would have loved the memorial people have started at the site where she lost her life by the CIBC and the outpouring of love on the Bolton Facebook page.
Isabella is survived by her fiercely protective and loving father Tony Curcio and her adoring mother Barbara Lines, her kind, amazing sister Filomena Curcio and her dear brother Jake Karasin. She has numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, Zia’s and Zio’s and her dad’s large extended Italian family, Grandmother and Nonna. All coming together to celebrate Izzy’s amazing, wonderful, surprising life and to grieve for her passing.
Izzy will be cremated and there will be a celebration of her life at Egan Funeral Home, Saturday May 13th, 2023 2-7pm. The family ask all who knew her to come with their Izzy stories to celebrate her life and to say goodbye. We ask all who wish to know Izzy to attend and learn about her short but wonderful life.
All monies received will be used for Izzy's celebration of life, final arrangements and charitable donations to the causes she was passionate about.
Thank you.
