Jack Scherer was a talented and skilled chemist. He was pursuing his doctoral degree in Physical Chemistry and joined his UNT family in Fall 2019. He was quick with a smile and a joke. He was always "livin' the dream!"
He was a kind and patient teacher, encouraging many undergraduates in his General Chemistry Labs or when he was tutoring in the Chemistry Resource Center.
He loved his family, his friends, his pets, Davie and Rosie, and working on cars.
We didn't have nearly enough time with him here in Denton and he will be greatly missed.
Please join with us as we raise money to help his family cover travel or funeral costs.
