James Edward McKenzie, also known as Jim, Jimbo, or Big Jim, was born in Warren, Ohio, on December 23, 1981, and passed away on July 25, 2022, at 40. He entered the workforce following in his dad's footsteps as a professional electrician and a loyal member of the IBEW.
Through his work, he found his way to Petersburg, West Virginia, where he found the love of his life, Megan. They got married on September 1, 2014, on the beaches of Mexico. They relocated to Pittsburgh for a few years before deciding to make a move to Hawaii, where he became a certified scuba diver. He welcomed a daughter Wren Riley on November 25, 2018, and the family eventually settled in Fort Mill, South Carolina.
He was an encouragement and cheerful voice to all who knew him, and his light filled any room he walked in and touched the lives of many. He will be remembered for his character of being fun, caring, loving, and resourceful. He will be greatly missed.
