In Loving Memory of JD Gamino

Donation protected
With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of Joel Derek "JD" Gamino III. JD was involved in a hit-and-run on Saturday morning and was left with critical injuries that he could not overcome. Our family was unprepared for a tragedy like this and at a time like this, we are asking for donations to help cover the cost of JD's funeral services. JD will always be remembered for the light, joy, and loving energy, he brought to us all. JD was a sweet 13-year-old boy who had a full life ahead of him. He had an immense love for all of his family, soccer, his pets, and fishing. JD or as some of us also knew him as "Güero or Güerito", always surprised people when they heard this beautiful blond, blue-eyed boy speaking fluent Spanish. Though JD was half-white and half-Mexican, JD always said he was "¾ Mexican" because he loved and identified with it so much. He kept everyone he knew on his or her toes and we will miss him so very much. He was a fighter until the end and even until the very end, he demonstrated such selfless love. At a young age, JD told his family that he would want to be an organ donor if anything ever happened to him. JD’s wishes were granted and he was able to save people's lives. There are no words to express the pain we feel and we find solace in the outpouring of love from our friends and family. From the bottom of our broken hearts, thank you for all your support.
