In Memory of Jeanna Fields: Family Support

My mother, Jeanna Fields, has passed away. I’m making this post with an unfathomable heaviness in my heart. She wasn’t the best mom. She wasn’t the best daughter. She wasn’t the best to herself either. Most of all, she wasn’t the best to herself. From a very young age, she deserved better. Many people knew my mother, either with fond memories, or harsh ones. Or just knew her from popping into the gas station for a pack of cigarettes and some candy, or from a concert. My memories of her were a mix of fond and harsh. I didn’t talk to her for months, our relationship was rocky. I talked to her for the last time 2 weeks ago, telling her I want to believe she misses me. She wasn’t the calmest person to walk this earth, but I’ve never known someone more creative. She had so many ideas she wanted to pursue, but she was consumed by other things. She was too far gone. The love between my mother and I was tricky. But the unconditional love a son has for his mother remained. It will always remain. But so will the pain. She will be survived by her 5 children and mother.

Mom.. I will always love you. There was so much more to you than what plagued your mind and what consumed you. You were human too. You were a mom, even if you didn’t know how to be a mom. You’ve hurt me one last time. I’ve felt so much hurt for you for so long, and will keep doing so.

This symbol will mean so much personally now. ; . Suicide prevention and awareness.

Any help will be given to the funeral home for cremation
