In memory of Jeff Holdsworth
Donation protected
It is with heavy hearts that we share the devastating news of the sudden passing of our friend, Jeff Holdsworth. Jeff was a devoted husband to Jessica and the best dog dad to Peanut. He treasured every moment spent with them in their Farmington home. He was known for his vibrant personality, calm demeanor, love of travel (Delta million miler!), and his culinary talents, that he generously shared with friends and loved ones. Jeff thoroughly enjoyed trips to Stone Harbor and cherished the time spent down the shore with family.
As many of you know, Jeff was a Senior Software Engineer at ESPN, dedicating his talents to enhancing the sports viewing experience for millions. Throughout his illustrious career, he earned five Emmy Awards for his outstanding contributions, a testament to his talent, dedication, and innovation during his tenure at ESPN. His passion for his craft and his love of sports were evident in every project he touched.
Beyond his professional endeavors, he attended Drexel University in Philadelphia, where he was an active member of the fraternity Alpha Pi Lambda and developed lifelong friendships. He loved the Phillies, Eagles and Manchester United, and would catch a game any chance he got.
Early this year, Jeff began a challenging battle with gastric cancer. Despite undergoing chemotherapy treatments and facing complications, including blood clots that led to multiple hospitalizations, Jeff fought valiantly. Unfortunately, on Sunday, April 14th, he left this world unexpectedly, leaving behind a void that cannot be filled.
In the wake of this profound loss, many of you have asked how you can help. The financial burden of the medical bills and funeral expenses weighs heavily during this already difficult time. Your generous contributions will allow Jess to focus on honoring Jeff's memory without the added stress of paying bills. Let us come together as a community to show our love, support, and gratitude for the life of Jeff Holdsworth. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support during this heartbreaking time.
