In Memory of Jeff Zabinski (Pops)
Pops, Z, Daddio, The Original J-Z, Dad, Jeffers, Jeffery, Jeff - a prideful, Polish businessman who was strong, creative, goofy, affectionate, courageous, adventurous, musically-adept, competitive, curious, and above all, kind. He would do everything he could to put a smile on your face and make you feel welcomed. He was a man who stopped and looked at the scenery, took every new adventure in stride, absorbed every beautiful sunset, meditated by the ocean waves, looked up at the stars, jammed out to Classic Rock and Jazz, always had time to share stories around an open fire, and would celebrate even the most simpliest occasion.
Jeffery Zabinski passed away in his sleep in the early morning on March 4th, 2017. There were no signs of distress or pain; he looked absolutely peaceful. As difficult as it is for his family and friends to absorb this unexpected news, we are all taking solace in that he passed away in his home in Oxnard, CA - a place where he found so much peace and happiness.
Funeral costs are unfortunate burdens when a loved one leaves us. Jeffery's immediate family is humbly asking for any type of donation that will go towards his funeral costs. If donations exceed our goal, the surplus will be donated to the Surfrider Foundation - Ventura County Chapter. The Surfrider Foundation (https://www.surfrider.org/)
is a non-profit organization that focuses on cleaning up and protecting our beaches. Jeff's favorite place was the ocean, and he even volunteered with the Surfrider Foundation. Jeff would be deeply honored if a donation was presented to this organization on behalf of his amazing life.
Jeff is still alive and well in his children, who wants everyone to celebrate the life of an amazing father, friend, husband and boyfriend. Tears will continue to flow because he is severely missed, yet laughter will lift up our spirits because of how many of his stories put smiles on our faces. We will forever love you Jeffery Walter Zabinski.
