Jeffrey K. Jewell, 52, of Bangor, PA passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family and friends on Wednesday, April 28th, at St. Luke's Hospital, Bethlehem, PA, after losing his 3-week hospitalized battle from Covid.

He was the son of Larry and Shirley Jewell, of Potter County, PA.

He was the husband of Lori A. Jewell; daddy to two beagles, Bree and Jasper. Lori & Jeff celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary last August.

He is the owner and operator of Jewell Computing Solutions in Phillipsburg, NJ. He was a member of the Phillipsburg Area and the Greater Lehigh Valley Area Chambers of Commerce.

Jeff’s passion was for drag racing having traveled all over the United States and Canadian provinces. At the age of 16, he won his very first race at the Maple Grove Raceway high school challenge in his 1972 El Camino. In 1994 he won the (Divisional) Event at Lebanon. One year he also held 1st position in the “Heavy” class at Island Dragway. Jeff was a fierce competitor in his 1967 red Corvette Super Stocker on the East Coast winning many races and Wally’s.  In 1994 he won the National Event at Lebanon Valley Dragway and Maple Grove Raceway National Open in 2017.

Jeff was a longtime member of BNI (Business Network International).  Beginning as a charter member of the BNI-West Coast chapter in Phillipsburg, NJ in March 2004, he was their first presenter.  He held various positions during his 9-plus years there, including leading the struggling chapter out of the trenches at one point from 12 to 19 members within 6 months.  In October 2013, the IT position became available at the BNI-Insiders chapter in Clinton, NJ and Jeff moved his membership to that chapter.  Driving the 45 minutes to the meetings each week Jeff always showed up with a smile, a handshake, and his positive attitude. Once again, he helped where needed: membership committee, visitor host and even President.  His BNI friends and family will forever have a void in their membership.

The same unwavering desire to help others, that drove his success in BNI, is what propelled his business over the years. He was always all about taking care of his clients, keeping their systems safe, accessible, and secure. He never put “business” over “service” and maintained that philosophy even as some struggled to pay him through the pandemic. His gentle soul distinguishing his business operations in so many ways.

Funds received will be used to help cover the medical expenses that Lori will be incurring from Jeff's prolonged hospital stay and other related expenses.
